I had so much fun getting to know Marshall + Jen. I knew Jen was going to be pouring her heart and soul into this wedding from the moment I first met with her, which meant their wedding was going to be beautiful!! Jen you did a fantastic job with every little detail and the florals……ahhhhh- so gorgeous. I loved photographing your wedding and getting to know you both. Joshua + Chrissy | Day After Session

So these images are not from a wedding day. This session is called a “day after” session. After the wedding the bride and groom pick a day (it doesn’t have to be the exact day after the wedding- that’s just what the session is termed) to get all dressed up again in their wedding day attire and have more pictures taken. This is such a special fun time together as couple. You don’t have to worry about your dress getting dirty and their isn’t any stress or nerves to make sure we finish in time to get to the ceremony. Benjamin and I did this on our 1 year anniversary and we loved it!!! I mean- you pay all that money for a dress and it’s great to be able to wear it more than once. I love these sessions and I hope you enjoy some of my favorites from Joshua + Chrissy’s Day After Session at the Corry House in Georgia.

Being able to photograph your cousins wedding is such an honor. Joshua and Chrissy spent a lot of time planning every little detail and decor and it payed off. Everything was gorgeous!!! A farm with horses, a big red barn, sunflowers, burlap, cotton fields, etc…… As we southerns say-I was in hog heaven. Enjoy some of my favorite images from the day!!!

The Corry House really is a beautiful place!!

Joshua also made the Cord of Three Strands.

He also made the wood stumps lining the aisle. So pretty!!! If I were to ever get a horse it would be a Palomino. They decided on a first look!!

Portrait time!!! I remember meeting with Joshua + Chrissy before the wedding and them telling me how important pictures were to them!! Thank you for wanting this!! It payed off!This is Benjamin’s shot- so jealous. I love it!! This horse really wanted to be in the picture- major photo bomb!!! Okay, short story. Joshua found out that he was allergic to horses….. on the wedding day. After petting the horse during their portrait time, he rubbed his eye and it swelled up. Thankfully somebody had some allergy meds for him and the swelling went down a little for the ceremony, but I felt so bad for him. He really was a good sport and if it had to happen I’m thankful it was at the end of their portraits.

Outdoor ceremonies are my favorite!! Married!!I normally don’t include family portrait when I blog a wedding, but this family portrait is important to me because it is my family. We have a big family and that isn’t even everybody. Thank you to the lady who took this shot for me. I don’t know your name, but thank you.

Reception Time. The details were perfect. She had a cupcake bar, kids table, coffee ground favors in burlap bags, etc. OH. MY. GOODNESS. I adore the back of her dress!!

Golden hour is the best. Joshua + Chrissy- thank you for letting me pull you away for a few seconds. So cute!!

Once of the many things I love about being a wedding photographer are the new friends Benjamin and I get to make. We thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Chris + Katie and had so much fun photographing there wedding!!! Enjoy a few of my favorites from the day!!!
All of the bridesmaids had hangers with there names on them. So cute!!!I love her rings!!!Ummm ……. serious bouquet crush!!!!Katie wore her new monogram necklace for the day!! So sweet!!
Again love the bouquet. Katie’s hair is was gorgeous!!!

I love it when brides choose an open back dress. So beautiful! Katie you are one beautiful bride!

I love being able to capture the moments right after a couple is married!!
Since Chris and Katie didn’t do a first look they decided to have a shorter reception and do the couple and bridal party pictures after the ceremony and reception. It was so relaxing and fun!! And it resulted in lots of time for pictures which equals lots of beautiful memories!!! These were taken at the very end of the day after everyone was gone and it was just Chris, Katie, Benjamin and I. These ended up being some of my favorite shots of the two of them!!!

I love these two!! We did a shot like this at their engagement session so they wanted one on the wedding day too!

Jacob + Bekah | Camden Country Club

Here are some of my favorite images from Jacob + Bekah’s wedding day in Camden, South Carolina. Bekah did such a beautiful job with all of her details and I have enjoyed getting to know both her and Jacob. I love how the images tell the story for me!! Enjoy!!!!
Bekah ended up doing one of her bridesmaids hair!! I would have been a nervous wreck if I had tried that on my wedding day. Way to go Bekah!!!I love her earrings. So classy!!Each one of her bridesmaids had a monogramed hanger. So cute!Again- the earrings!! Love them!

We have a picture like this from our wedding day. Thanks to Kelsey Tice for the idea!!

Her monogramed button was so cute! P.S. I use a lot of exclamation points when I write!!!!They decided on a first look and I am so glad!! If they hadn’t we wouldn’t have had time for the couple portraits. Future brides, if you are not thinking about a first look, make sure to give your photographer plenty of time for pictures after the ceremony. One hour is not enough for family portraits, bridal party pictures, couple portraits and the travel time to get to the reception. It would be nice to have at least an hour and half depending on how close your reception is from the ceremony. Thank you Bekah- for choosing to do a first look!!

I love this shot of Kim as she is getting ready. So romantic!!! Looking very dapper gentlemen.
They actually got on the roof of the church for me to get this shot!!!Married!!!!So sweet!! I love their expressions!!!Kim and Daniel opted out on a first look which resulted in less time for their portraits. Some couples prefer to stick with a traditional wedding and others don’t. Neither couple’s choice is wrong. Just be sure it’s what both you and your fiancee will be happy with. Depending on a couples wedding day timeline, I usually suggest a first look. In case you are wondering what I’m talking about, here is a link to another photographer that I love and admire who writes about first looks. :)
