Okay I know this post is a little late, but I have been in the process of changing the website so I wanted to wait and post when it was ready. I was blessed with the wonderful opportunity to go to a wedding workshop taught by the amazing Katelyn James in Richmond, VA. I just realized that when I typed her name with “the amazing” in front of it, that I felt like I was describing the Wizard from the Wizard of Oz. Ha ha!!
So I saw that Katelyn was running a special for her workshops (which I had been dreaming of going to for so long) so I called Benjamin, and said in the sweetest voice (even though I didn’t have to), “Do you think maybe I could go?” Of course he said yes, because he spoils me something awful.Really he is the best thing that has ever happen to me! I am so thankful for him! God is so good to me!!
So before I knew it, February 8th was here and I was in the car driving up to VA to meet Katelyn and learn everything I could from her!!! I thoroughly enjoyed getting to photograph Tori + Aaron from Marvelous Things Photography. They did a splendid job at being our models for the day and it was such a treat to meet her as well, since I follow her work too! Katelyn did such a good job of putting everything together and giving so much of herself. She didn’t even eat lunch that day so she could make sure everything was perfect. And it was.
Below are a “few” of my favorite images from the day. Believe me I wanted to post more, so I’m proud of myself for culling through them as much as I did. I am trying to get better. :) Enjoy! I will post a few behind the scene images soon!
P.S. If anyone is ever thinking of doing the workshop with Katelyn, doesn’t hesitate, go!!!! It has helped me grow my business and given me a boost of confidence!
